Engaging Your Audience With Content That Matters

KAB Designs chosen by World Food Programme (WFP)

Back in April, a few months after having arrived here in Geneva, Switzerland, KAB Designs was chosen as the agency to do a scoping study on Switzerland, to best determine its online practices and the feasibility of reaching the Swiss audience, especially given that a significant percentage of the population speaks German and French, both official languages, followed by a mashup of others.

As new comers to the market, this was a great opportunity to get to know the population and its online habits, and to develop a methodology for a global agency to devise a strategy in reaching them.

Did you know that at the end of 2012, the Swiss population was 7,000,997 and there were 2,974,340 Facebook users in Switzerland. This represented a penetration rate of almost 40% of the total population and 47% of the total online audience. As of 2014, the Swiss population is estimated to be 8,061,516, with 3,400,000 Facebook users in Switzerland. This represents a penetration rate of almost 42% to a total population.

At last, we’re in the home stretch in delivering the final results. We’re tweaking the design of the study to visually bring it to life, as what’s seen above is simply the rough starting point. Thanks to everyone from the Philippines to Bangkok, Paris to Berlin, Geneva to Rome, and Washington, DC for their input.

I’m quite excited to share this foto that I shot on a recent visit to Zamboanga City, Mindanao, where we were there to document the Micronutrient Powder program for World Food Programme Philippines and how it contributes to child nutrition in the area. It appears on the WFP Philippines Facebook page. We’re so thankful here at KAB Designs for continued opportunities to partner with leading global agencies.

A behind the scenes teaser from the ocular to Cagayan de Oro City, Northern Mindanao, Philippines. The mission here was to produce an advocacy and awareness video for the World Food Programme (WFP) Philippines, that highlights the Cash for Work Programs and complementary approaches used to fight hunger in cities during and following emergencies. This video focuses on the work in Northern Mindanao, Philippines, in the cities of Cagayen De Oro and Illigan City, following the devastation of Tropical Storm Washi, locally known as Typhoon Sendong in December 2011. The full video can be seen here. KAB Designs managed all logistics from storyboard development, direction and production to final product.
